Selin Nakıpoğlu is a human rights lawyer in Istanbul. She received her public law master's degree from Bristol University and the Academy of European Law, and her specialization is gender and human rights. Nakıpoğlu has worked for the Mor Roof Women's Shelter Foundation and the Hürriyet Emergency Helpline. She works extensively on women's and children's rights against gender discrimination ın Turkey. The lecture will be moderated by Firat Demir, L.J. Semrod Presidential Professor of Economics and co-director of the Center for Peace and Development, University of Oklahoma.
